Community Recreation Services (CRS) offers a wide range of recreation programs and services to over 196 communities throughout the Halifax Regional Municipality.Core services focus on the child and youth population while also providing gap filling opportunities for other age groups. Community Recreation Services enriches the lives of HRM residents and communities by facilitating and/or providing quality inclusive leisure services, facilities and programs.

Recreation Centres

Below is a listing of recreational centres in the Halifax Region. Some of these centres offer specialized recreational programs such as Cole Harbour Place which offers specialized fitness programs delivered by a licensed physiotherapist. Programs include a fitness class for stroke survivors, and prenatal fitness excersise classes. All centres are wheelchair accessible. Please contact these centres for further information on specialized programs in your local area.
