The Member Assistance Program (MAP) is a voluntary and confidential service for Canadian Forces (CF) to help members (Regular Force, all Reserve Class Members, Cadets) and family members. MAP provides a short-term problem solving service for persons who have parenting or family concerns, interpersonal relations, personal and emotional, stress, anxiety, sexual assault and addiction concerns.

The GMFRC Social Worker can provide you with any of the following services:

Short Term Counseling

Short-term counseling sessions (anywhere from 1-5 meetings) are available. These sessions are free of charge. Individuals, couples and or families may contact my office by phone or in person to request a meeting.

Common issues/areas of practice include: Separation/divorce, anxiety/depression, grief/loss, health/wellness, stress/burnout, personal development, trauma issues, parent/child issues.

A Psychologist can assess and find solutions to problems and challenges that people face in their life. The South End Centre provides counselling and outreach to children and youth aged 19 and under and their family members.  If your child or youth is experiencing emotional, behavioural or social difficulties please call.  Some of the interventions that may be used are:  individual and family counseling, family therapy, group work, psychological testing, crisis intervention and suicide prevention, play therapy, and referral and coordination of services.
