The Yellowknife Family Centre provides services including a toy lending library, a family play centre, along with parenting resources and workshops. This program is available to Yellowknife families with children from birth to six years of age. The Centre provides service to children and families with special needs, families living in isolation, families with high stress levels, mental illness, low income and new immigrants to Canada. The program offers parent support through the services of trained staff, as well as peer support by member families. The objective of this program is to provide the Yellowknife community with programming that will fit the needs of individual families.

The Member Assistance Program (MAP) is a voluntary and confidential service for Canadian Forces (CF) to help members (Regular Force, all Reserve Class Members, Cadets) and family members. MAP provides a short-term problem solving service for persons who have parenting or family concerns, interpersonal relations, personal and emotional, stress, anxiety, sexual assault and addiction concerns.
