The North West Community Care Access Centre is the local point of access to community-based health care services. The Centre is funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. It was created to coordinate a variety of health services to assist in maintaining an individual’s health, independence and quality of life.

Integrated Services for Northern Children (ISNC) is a district service delivery program sponsored by the Ministries of Education, Community & Social Services, and Children and Youth Services.
ISNC’s speech-language pathologists, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist provide an integrated network of quality health, special education, and mental health services to children and their families in rural and remote communities. ISNC services are available to any person under 21 years of age who has special needs and requires assistance in any area of their life including physical, emotional, family, and educational needs.

This program helps families who are caring for a child with a developmental or physical disability, as well as adults with a developmental disability.
It helps families pay for special services in the home or outside the family home as long as the child is not receiving support from a residential program.
