Aphasia Centre

Community-based agency dedicated to the long-term support of people affected by aphasia, a language disorder that can occur after one has had a stroke or other injury to the brain.
People with aphasia may have difficulty speaking, understanding what others say, reading and writing. A speech-language pathologist and a social worker, in partnership with trained volunteers, provide programs to help people adjust to living with aphasia and to again be active participants in the community.
