Every weekday between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., volunteers deliver more than 500 meals and social contact to homebound people including: Seniors; caregivers; individuals with chronic or acute medical conditions; individuals recovering from surgery, illness or injury; and new mothers.

This agency supports individuals who provide full or part-time care for elderly or chronically ill family members. Their services include education, information, support groups and a great lending library.

Seniors Come Share Society - Vancouver

The Seniors Come Share Society offers a variety of programs to assist and support seniors in the local community. Their Community Support Program offers community meal programs, telephone support and reassurance from a friendly volunteer, computer training, caregiver support and education and more. Their community meal programs provide you with the opportunity to get to know other seniors in the community.
They also have a Caregiver Information Line which provides seniors with access to a number of resources and information on housing options, medical support, government assistance and much more.
They have a Day Program for older adults which offers support to help individuals and families who need assistance to remain in the community due to a health related issue. Services include transportation, fitness assistance, health monitoring, personal care assistance, respite and dementia programming. Please note: You must be referred through the Fraser Health Authority to qualify for this program. Call them for more information at 604-953-6965.
