The Alzheimer Societies in South East Ontario provide support to people living with Alzheimer Disease (or related dementia) and their families and friends. Services include a lending library of books and tapes, a wandering person registry (Safely Home), a toll free line, one-on-one or group support, caregiving education and more.

The South East Community Care Access Centre is the local point of access to community-based health care services. The Centre is funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. It was created to coordinate a variety of health services to assist in maintaining an individual’s health, independence and quality of life.

Hospice Quinte

Provinding palliative care to terminally ill persons and support to their caregivers in the Quinte region. Services are offered in the patient’s home, hospital, or nursing home room. Trained, compassionate volunteers provide this care at no cost to patients and their families.  Bereavement support groups are also available to family and friends of the patient.  Hospice Quinte also has a small supply of medical equipment for loan at no cost.  There is also a resource lending library consisting of books and audio & video tapes available to the general public.
