The Mental Health Clinic is an intergrated team of civilian and military professionals, which include Social Workers, Chaplains, Education Coordinators, Addiction Counsellors, Mental Health Nurse, Psychologist and Psychiatrist.  If you are facing some difficulties, they are there to help you get a better understanding of your concerns and to develop with you the skills/strategies for overcoming and dealing with the situation.  At the Mental Health Clinic, staff do a quick intake assessment to determine your needs.  This initial consultation attempts to answer all the individuals questions related to their services, including issues such as confidentiality and appointment booking.
 

Integrated Personnel Support Centre (IPSC)

Integrated Personnel Support Centre (IPSC) provides a “One Stop Service” for ill and injured CF personnel, both Regular Force and Reserve Force.  The Integrated Personnel Support Centre consists of a multi-disciplinary team including a Family Liason Officer.  The role of the Family Liaison Officer is to provide standardized and consistent care in collaboration with the Canadian Forces IPSC team.  The main responsibility of this position is to provide direct support, short-term intervention and other related services and supports to civilian family members of Canadian Forces Personnel coping with illness, injury and/or special needs.

Our IPSC Family Liaison Officer (FLO) offers social work services in the form of both direct counselling and comprehensive referral services for Canadian Forces families and Veterans. This service is co-located with other affiliate service providers at the Integrated Personnel Support Centre (Building L-106, immediately to the north of Base Headquarters).

The overall mission of the IPSC is to support injured and ill CF members and Veterans. The specific role of the Family Liaison Officer is to aid the families of these individuals by implementing flexible and voluntary social support services, customized to the specific requirements of each family. The multi-disciplinary nature of the IPSC team allows for fast and efficient coordination of various different services, all located under one roof.

Services are available on a drop-in basis, or by appointment. Off-base appointments and home visits are available upon request.
 
This service is free of charge, and confidential.

Intergrated Personnel Support Centre (IPSC)

Through an integrated and individual-centric service delivery model, ensure the coordination and facilitation of standardized, high quality, consistent personal and administrative support during all phases of recovery, rehabilitation, and reintegration on return to service or transition following release, for all injured and ill Canadian Forces members and former members, their families and the families of the deceased.

Base Mental Health Services is an intergrated team of civilian and military professionals, which include Social Workers, Chaplains, Education Coordinators, Addiction Counsellors, Mental Health Nurse, Psychologist and Psychiatrist. If you are facing some difficulties, they are there to help you get a better understanding of your concerns and to develop with you the skills/strategies for overcoming and dealing with the situation. The Seniors’ Mental Health Program provides specialized mental health services and education for seniors and their formal and informal caregivers across northeast Ontario. The program provides assessment, intervention and support to assist individuals with age related mental health disorders to remain in the community (private home, long-term care home or retirement home) and to prevent psychiatric hospitalization where possible. While most individuals receiving services from the program are over 65 years of age, services are also provided to those under 65 if they have an age related mental health issue.
