Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre Geriatric service is aimed primarily at the frail elderly, but younger individuals who are experiencing serious memory problems may also be seen. Patients are referred by their family doctor.

The Annapolis Valley Health’s Palliative Care program is in partnerships with VON, Continuing Care Nova Scotia, volunteer groups, Cancer Care Nova Scotia, long term care facilities and other community groups in the district. The inpatient facilities provide Palliative Care services for those patients who cannot remain at home.
