The Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) is designed to meet the unique needs of people with disabilities who are in financial need, or who want and are able to work and need support. Ontarians 65 years or older who are not eligible for Old Age Security may also qualify for ODSP supports if they are in financial need.

A resident of Ontario must have a health card to show that he or she is entitled to health care services paid for by OHIP. Ontario residents are eligible for provincially funded health coverage (OHIP). OHIP coverage normally becomes effective three months after the date you establish residency in Ontario.

The Military Families Fund (MFF) is an agile and responsive means for Base and Wing Commanders, in concert with Military Family Resource Centers (MFRC) across the country, to help military families within hours of being advised of need. It will help with short-term emergencies and also provide long-term support. The MFF allows CF leadership to meet the special-case needs of CF members and their families with speed and flexibility not always available through the traditional programs.

Income Support provides financial assistance and other benefits to eligible people with disabilities and their families. Supports and benefits available: accommodation, basic living expenses, prescription drugs, basic dental care. Other supports and benefits may be available such as: eyeglasses, hearing aids, special diet allowance, diabetic supplies, Employment Start Up Benefit (ESUB), ostomy supplies, Extended Health Benefits, surgical supplies, emergency home repairs, transportation needed to attend medical appointments, guide dog allowance, Upfront Child Care Benefit, wheelchair/mobility device repairs and batteries.
