The Member Assistance Program (MAP) is a voluntary and confidential service for Canadian Forces (CF) to help members (Regular Force, all Reserve Class Members, Cadets) and family members. MAP provides a short-term problem solving service for persons who have parenting or family concerns, interpersonal relations, personal and emotional, stress, anxiety, sexual assault and addiction concerns.

Wainwright MFRC - Prevention Support and Intervention Program

The MFRC Social Worker will work on-on-one with individuals in military familes in order to support them in stressful psycho-social situations. If appropriate, referral to other agencies within the community will be made. Resources will be provided to children, youth, and their parents when needed. Services are provided at no cost to the user accessing them.
Services Offered include, resources to military families, crisis intervention, short-term counselling, referrals, facilitate groups and workshops to promote optimal development, provide community educational workshops/seminars as needed and network with other community resources.

The East Central Health regional mental health program provides voluntary clinical community based mental health services to persons of all ages with a clearly definable mental illness, and who are experiencing moderate to severe dysfunction. Treatment services from the various programs are provided free of charge. The teams providing services to children, adults and the senior population set up the mental health program.
