The Member Assistance Program (MAP) is a voluntary and confidential service for Canadian Forces (CF) to help members (Regular Force, all Reserve Class Members, Cadets) and family members. MAP provides a short-term problem solving service for persons who have parenting or family concerns, interpersonal relations, personal and emotional, stress, anxiety, sexual assault and addiction concerns.

The Ontario government provides and funds many special programs and services to help these children and their families. The programs and services include respite care, autism services, developmental delay services, disability services, mental health services, rehabilitiation and special services at home. The Infant Development Program is available to families with children (birth to 6 years) who may be at risk for problems affecting mental and/or physical growth.  Through formal and informal developmental assessments the Infant Development Worker will assist the family in understanding their child’s unique pattern of development.

CMHO represents and supports the providers of child and youth mental health treatment services throughout Ontario.   On their website you can find a mental health service provider near you, tools to support your family dealing with the process of diagnosis and mental health issues, and tools for professionals.  Some mental health issues may include anxiety, depression, mood disorders, behavioural challenges or a complex mental health disorder.
