The Member Assistance Program (MAP) is a voluntary and confidential service for Canadian Forces (CF) to help members (Regular Force, all Reserve Class Members, Cadets) and family members. MAP provides a short-term problem solving service for persons who have parenting or family concerns, interpersonal relations, personal and emotional, stress, anxiety, sexual assault and addiction concerns.

The goal of the Prevention and Intervention Program is to enhance the social functioning and emotional well-being of CF families. Military life presents unique challenges to families, including frequent relocation and extended family separation. These challenges may require special attention to protect individuals and families who may be particularly vulnerable. The services are designed to be preventive in nature, as well as to enable individuals and families to manage crises and periods of high stress.
We offer short-term intervention and crisis support, as well as assessment and referral services. Furthermore, the program offers education and prevention services, as well as self-help groups. For more information on groups and programs being offered go to their website or call.
