The Petawawa MFRC Crisis Intervention Worker offers crisis intervention and short term emotional support for individuals, couples and families.

Counselling gives you a chance to be heard without judgment by someone outside of your situation. You can also acquire knowledge and learn new skills, which can help you find your own solutions. Assistance can be provided for a variety of issues such as deployment, relationships, parenting, youth and teen difficulties, stress, grief, loss, anxiety and self esteem, addictions and living with violence.

Family Mediation Centre

The Family Mediation Centre is governed by Governed by the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario / Canada, Family Mediation Canada and The Ontario Association for Family Mediation. They offer a variety of counseling and support services for Canadian Forces members and their families who are experiencing divorce or long-term separation. They offer mediation to separation and divorce agreements, cohabitation agreements, intra-family conflict, conflict conciliation and client assessment and referral.

The Phoenix Centre is a children’s mental health treatment centre funded by the provincial government. They provide a variety of family centered treatments to children and youth 18 years and under and their families to meet the mental health needs of children. Services they provide are individual counseling services for children, sibling counseling services, family counseling services, Family and Child Therapy, Early Years Services, Trauma Services, Youth Justice Services, School Based Programs, Group Services, Respite Care and much more.

The Base Mental Health Centre provides bilingual support and services to meet the emotional needs of military members and their families. They offer individual mental health and psycho-social counseling, consultation and diagnoses support from a psychiatrist or psychologist, couples counseling, and much more. The Bernadette McCann House provides safety and support for abused women and their children. They offer a 24 hour crisis line, shelter/residential services for emergency situations, community outreach programs, transitional support services and a variety of services to children and youth.
