If you or someone in your family has a mental illness, the whole family may be able to help through the diagnosis and treatment process. Love and support can make a big difference in how we all handle tough situations.
It is important to see a doctor or other care provider for support with mental health issues. This information from the BC Partners for Mental Health and Addictions Information will give some general information about how families can support people while they seek help and treatment for mental health disorders.
