Family Information Binder Workshop
Families with special needs and responsibilities have a number of different professionals and community agencies that impact their life. Most will have medical reports, assessments and school information. Having that information current, organized and available is key to a family’s ability to advocate for itself.
This workshop has been designed to help support families as the begin to organize the information that their family needs.
Family Binder Workshop
This is designed to be a hands-on, interactive workshop with families at the MFRC. Please feel free to use what is relevant to your centre and make changes where needed.
These are the bilingual lists of the kinds of content that families with different needs may like to include in their binders. If you find them useful, you are welcome to use them as handouts.
- Binders for Children with Special Needs
- Binders for Children: Typical and Siblings
- Binders for Adults with Support Needs
This site also includes a number of resources for families around building an information binder. Please look at the forms included for them under Tracking your family details.
If you have other ideas for content, we could love to hear from you, just send a note through the Feedback Form.
